A GRATEFUL AFRICAN GIRL CHILD

She stands unmoved in stature,

Her echo sparks motion.

Life takes pleasure in her posture,

In her, living creatures celebrate her passion.

The tycoons seek to inquire her dwellings

The assassins attempt a plot in her lodgings.

While surveyors pledge to navigate her hidings,

Oh! poor men, little did they know that Africa holds her in cozy bliss.

Beyond a word she is in appearance.

Always motivating one to be a Saint

Rejoices constantly and everywhere,

She assumes and restores trust.

She hopes in receiving.

As she chastens the greedy in giving,

Sorrow overwhelms her in grumbling.

Unsympathetic she becomes to the ungrateful.

She sounds low-priced to befriend

But expensive to possess.

Many have been canonized by her utterance

Because she is the ultimate virtue.

She embodies every race, age and gender

She delights in her faithful followers.

She affords in unifying the divided

She hails a bounty blessing to the giver.

Her existence is neither a coincident nor an accident

Her triumph sanctifies the penitent

Indeed, proper Gratitude is the virtue of virtues

Its formula is simply just to say thank you!!
